Concept Story
I love how city looks like when it is lit up in colours. Hong Kong, where I grew up, is a special place that brings all possibilities to life. Every corner of it carries someone’s story or a story of how he or she strives for success. Nothing is ordinary there. Even a late-night street view can speak to me with unique emotions and colours.
This artwork captures the beautiful scene of day-to-day life of a local in Hong Kong, highlighting the taxi, mini bus station and the residential buildings, ready to join us falling asleep and calling this a day.
The translations of Chinese characters emerging from the paining means “Perhaps life is nothing but a dream. It comes and goes like the wind”, inspired by a Chinese song lyricist, Richard Lam Chun-Keung.
